Barn Haus Program Return & Refund Policy

At Barn Haus, we are a small, community-rooted homeschool cooperative that commits significant time and resources in advance to prepare meaningful seasonal programming. In the spirit of fairness and sustainability, we ask all families to read and understand our return and refund policy prior to registration.

Tuition & Fees

Non-Refundable Deposit: A non-refundable deposit is required upon registration to hold your child’s spot. This deposit covers administrative and planning costs and is not transferable.
Refunds Before the Program Start Date:
If a family needs to withdraw prior to the start of the session, tuition (minus the non-refundable deposit) may be refunded if written notice is given at least 30 days before the session start date. Cancellations made within 30 days of the start date are not eligible for a refund unless we are able to fill the spot from our waitlist.
Refunds After Program Begins:
Once a session (our sessions run in semester blocks, such as Aug.-Dec. and Jan.-May) has begun, no refunds will be given for missed days, illness, weather closures, family schedule changes, or withdrawals. This includes all tuition and materials fees. Our programming is budgeted and staffed based on full enrollment.
Program Cancellation by Barn Haus:
In the rare case that Barn Haus must cancel a program or session in its entirety (not including weather closures or unavoidable single-day closures), families will receive a full refund or credit for future programming.

Weather & Emergency Closures

Barn Haus operates rain or shine. We believe all weather offers opportunities for learning and growth. In extreme weather or unsafe conditions (e.g. lightning storms, high winds, forest fires, etc.), programs may be canceled for the day at the discretion of staff. We do not offer refunds or make-up days for weather-related closures.

Special Considerations

We understand that life circumstances can change unexpectedly. If a family experiences a significant hardship (such as a serious medical emergency or relocation), please reach out to us directly. While we cannot guarantee a refund, we will review such situations with compassion and on a case-by-case basis.

Media Release Statement

By enrolling in Barn Haus programs, I grant Barn Haus permission to photograph and/or video my child during program activities for use in promotional materials, including social media, print, and the Barn Haus website. I understand that my child's name will not be used without additional consent. I may revoke this permission at any time in writing.

Agreement to this statement is not required to participate in the programs.
